Production Guidelines
Content on Adesso Network™ is carefully curated. This means that only a select range of media is showcased.
The first stage of our curation process focuses on the content's tone. The tone must align with the editorial values outlined on our Editorial Policies page.
Next, we assess the production quality.
You can view our production quality criteria below.
Media that does not meet both our editorial values, and our production values, is generally rejected.
In cases of limited inventory (such as in certain languages), or for classic media, we may relax production value standards.
AUDIO
We evaluate audio across four criteria:- Quality of recording – Is the recording clear? Is the sound quality high? Is the sound consistent throughout?
- Quality of sound mixing – Is there skilled use of sound effects and/or music?
- Branding – Is the audio packaged with branding?
- Consistency of content – Does the content creator regularly release new material? (Note: This is not applicable to standalone content such as documentaries or short films.)
VIDEO
We evaluate video across eight criteria:
- Image sharpness – Is the image in focus? Is the resolution sufficiently high?
- Lighting – Is the image adequately exposed? If the content is drama or documentary, is the lighting cinematic?
- Framing – Is the image composed competently? Does the framing respect the rule of thirds?
- Camera movement – Is camera movement employed to enhance the viewing experience? (For example, a dolly, jib, or gimble?) If the content is interview-based, are multiple camera angles used?
- Editing – Is the editing proficient? Does it create good pacing and flow?
- Sound – Is the recording clear? Is the sound quality high? Is the sound consistent throughout?
- Graphics – Are graphics incorporated? (For example, lower thirds, or intro graphics.) Is the typeface sophisticated? Are the graphics contemporary?
- Consistency of content – Does the content creator regularly release new material? (Note: This is not applicable to standalone content such as documentaries or short films.)
