Christmas service was once again amazing! We have made it a family tradition to go to the Grant's Mill campus every year. We absolutely love our church
My daughter who attends the Tuscaloosa Campus and myself who attends the Madison Campus met up yesterday in the Birmingham area. Prior to meeting up, we decided to attend service at Grants Mill. It was a wonderful experience and we talked about doing it again soon because we enjoyed it so much. The one consistent is the friendliness of the campuses. We thoroughly enjoyed Pastor Mark's message in person at Grants Mill. Hopefully next time we visit, we can meet Pastor Mark and/or PC.

A century-old set of Bible footnotes is one of the most powerful and least-understood forces shaping American foreign policy. The 1909 Scofield Reference Bible, edited by Cyrus Scofield, popularized a theological system called dispensationalism by embedding its notes directly alongside the scripture. This framework taught millions of American evangelicals that the modern state of Israel is the literal fulfillment of biblical prophecy. It effectively installed a theological "script" that presents unconditional support for Israel not as a political choice, but as a divine mandate necessary to receive God's blessing and usher in the End Times. This manufactured mandate has created a massive and politically formidable bloc of Christian Zionists. The interpretation of Genesis 12:3 ("I will bless them that bless thee") as a command to support a modern nation-state has had a profound impact. Data from Pew Research shows that 80% of white evangelicals believe God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people, a belief that fuels lobbying powerhouses like Christians United for Israel (CUFI) with its 10 million members. The result is a powerful force in U.S. politics that often treats a complex geopolitical issue as a simple matter of prophetic fulfillment, insulating it from normal foreign policy debate.
I’m proud to call Church of the Highlands my home. This is a large non denominational church with a small church feel. It has a great diverse, friendly and compassionate congregation and staff. Grants Mill on Highland Way is the main ‘campus’ where you can see Pastor Chris Hodges himself. The many other locations are on a tv, so everyone hears the same service all over Alabama and even in correctional facilities. This is day 18 of 21 Days of Prayer and the pictures are from this morning. After sacrificing and praying an hour a day for 21 days, small groups start. I would strongly encourage you to try one out. Freedom is my favorite and lead me closer to God and helped me find my Church Home.
